URGENT: Puerto Rico Earthquake Response

A debris disposal location in Chiba

Hundreds of earthquakes and aftershocks have been recorded near Puerto Rico in recent days. The largest was a magnitude 6.4 quake on Tuesday, Jan. 7. Hundreds of people are living in shelters, and two thirds of the island is without power.

We’ve been engaged in disaster response activities in Puerto Rico since Hurricane Maria struck in 2017. In the wake of these earthquakes, we are prepared to respond with CWS Kits, Cleanup Buckets and Blankets as requested, and support local organizations in their own effortsWe also anticipate supporting longer term recovery efforts. We hope to raise $100,000 for this work.

Donate now to stand with our neighbors in Puerto Rico.
