Join a Community of Faith Leaders for Self-Care and Personal Growth
As clergy, prioritizing your own emotional, physical and spiritual well-being is essential to navigating the ever-evolving landscape of ministry. The responsibilities, challenges and commitment that come along with caring for your communities and congregations can take a toll on your health and leave you feeling isolated.
To better support clergy and the communities they serve, CWS is excited to enter into the third year of Restore and Renew in 2026. This year, our programs will focus on middle judicatory leaders and refugee and immigrant faith leaders, offering:
- Opportunities for rest and renewal
- Personalized coaching
- Supportive ecumenical community
- Project-based leadership development

Participants can choose from a six-month or yearlong program focused on strengthening leadership skills, fostering a deeper sense of community and purpose, and building meaningful peer connections. Each cohort includes in-person opening and closing retreats, monthly online group coaching and one-on-one sessions to support individual growth.
Healing & Leading Program Serves Refugee, Immigrant Faith Leaders

Launched in June 2025, our new Healing and Leading program offers refugee and immigrant faith leaders an experience of rest, renewal and resilience.
Led in Partnership with Freely in Hope, this cohort equips participants with practical skills in liberatory leadership, community organizing, harm reduction, trauma-informed care and healing-centered engagement. Each participant commits to apply these skills through a local project, in coordination with CWS’s Refugee and Immigrants Rights Community Organizing work.
The Healing & Leading program is made possible through generous support from the Dr. K. Patricia Cross Charitable Fund.
Applications for the next cohort will open in 2026.
