Digital Literacy During COVID-19 and Supporting Refugees to Build Skills

The impact of COVID-19 has been challenging on multiple levels for all individuals. Refugees and immigrants have had to quickly adapt to virtual and remote case management services and building digital literacy skills to support online learning for themselves, their children, and other household members in a virtual COVID-19 world. During this session, attendees will learn about the specific challenges that face refugees with little to no digital literacy skills, limited access to devices, and navigating online learning and remote case management. Attendees will also review resources available to support digital learning among refugees and how to support newcomers during their integration and ongoing learning.

Hosted on 4/12/21 by Tiana Gonzalez, Program Manager, US Resettlement HIAS, Ashley Allibhoy, Program Specialist IRP, CWS.
