Unauthorized Practice of Immigration Law – When Helping Can Hurt

Helping newcomers understand and complete paperwork is often a task that volunteers and community sponsors know well. During this session, participants will learn how helping with immigration-related paperwork can lead to unintended consequences and even the unauthorized practice of immigration law. Attendees will leave knowing how to access reputable immigration legal services and how to best assist newcomers through this process.
