Leah celebrated her 7th birthday with a party, cake and friends, but the presents weren’t for her. And that’s just the way she wanted it.
Leah asked her friends to give her School Kits instead of birthday gifts. She received 15 kits at her party, plus donations for another eight through the CWS website. She and her mom shipped the kits to the CWS warehouse at the Brethren Service Center in Maryland, and from there, they’ll go to children who really need scissors and pencils and notebooks to learn.
