Oh, you know, this Saturday I think I’ll “Hang Out” with Glennon Doyle Melton.

Wanna join me?

No really, I’m completely serious.  I’m going to hang out with Glennon (yes, the Glennon of Momastery) and the really awesome folks over at Church World Service (yes, the CROP Hunger Walk folks working to fight poverty around the globe) on Google +.  How cool is that?

Also, you are invited!

Why?  Because this Saturday is World Water Day. So, to help shed some light on how access to clean water is so desperately needed in so many, many places for so many, many children, Church World Service is hosting a Google + Hang Out – this Saturday at 7:00 PM (EDT).  (That’s 6:00 PM if you’re on Central time like me.)

From the Google + invite:

“This World Water Day, join with Glennon Doyle Melton of Momastery as she talks with CWS water experts about what access to safe, clean water means to mothers and families around the globe. And how we can ALL help. WATER IS JOY!”

Never done a Google + Hang Out before?  Here’s the thing.  I don’t know the first thing about Google + either.   Well, that’s sort of maybe not completely true.  I probably know the first and maybe the second thing.  I have an account and a profileand there is something about circles.  I’m working on that.  You probably have an account already, too.   Anyway, join me?  Let’s learn something new about Google + (like how easy…hopefully…it is to “Hang Out” and watch this interview) and more importantly, let’s learn how we can all be more aware of the world and water, and where it is and where it isn’t and how to get it to where it isn’t.

Just follow these 3 easy steps:

1. Tune in here to watch LIVE on Saturday at 7 p.m. EDT  (Remember…6 p.m. central for local folks!)

2. Press the “play” button

3. Watch. Learn. Enjoy!

So, let’s learn something new about Google + (like how easy…hopefully…it is to “Hang Out” and watch this interview) and more importantly, let’s learn how we can all be more aware of the world and water, and where it is and where it isn’t and how to get it to where it isn’t.

And where we fit into the big picture.

Please, consider joining the conversation (click here).

2014-03-21-blog-hcl-620Cause I’m sure grateful for this kid and his brother and for the fact that I don’t even have to think about where the next clean cup of water will come from…or the one after that, or the one after that.  #gratitudewaterfall

Click here to join the World Water Day event.  And, if you’re going, leave me a comment and we can connect.  I’ll see you there!

{PS…just in case you are wondering, this is in no way a sponsored post.  I’m just a spectator.  My only involvement with CWS is that I think they are amazing people and do amazing work, and I once (twice) had the honor to share a blog post about the CROP walk with them.  Oh, and Glennon is sort of my personal cheerleader, although she probably doesn’t officially know that.}
