Immigrants’ Rights
CWS is deeply committed to defending the rights and human dignity of immigrants and keeping families together, regardless of their immigration status. Through both direct service and advocacy, we stand with immigrants to build stronger, more welcoming communities.
The Trump Administration has weaponized anti-immigrant fears to justify and unprecedented campaign of cruelty against immigrants and asylum seekers: separating families, tear-gassing asylum seekers, detaining children and families in deplorable conditions, deploying ICE raids to destroy communities, ending temporary protected status for many vulnerable immigrant groups, and ripping protection away from Dreamers.
Through our work with #DefundHate, #HomeisHere, and impacted communities across the country CWS advocates for humane immigration policies that put people over politics, defend human rights and work to reunite separated families. By working with our affiliates and partners, we build grassroots movements in support of the rights of immigrants at the local, state and national levels.
