CWS Hurricane Relief in the U.S.

We’re responding to hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria in Texas, Florida and Puerto Rico.
We need your help. Read our latest appeal here.

This season, three major hurricanes have struck the United States. We responded by providing supplies and support to affected communities in Texas, Florida and Puerto Rico.

You can help.

1. Donate
Donations will support costs associated with assembling, shipping and distributing CWS Kits in areas hit by the storms. They will also be used for long-term recovery activities in Texas and Florida, where our Domestic Disaster Program focuses on particularly vulnerable communities to identify their unique needs and determine effective strategies to respond. Additionally, CWS will offer grants to long-term recovery groups and other local non-profits in Florida and Texas.

2. Assemble CWS Hygiene Kits and Cleanup Buckets.
More than 100,000 CWS Hygiene Kits and Emergency Cleanup Buckets have already been mobilized in these responses. Hygiene kits meet immediate needs, and Emergency Cleanup Buckets mean critical supplies for families who are re-entering their homes. We have an URGENT need for kits: get started here. Click here for a suite of resources for congregations assembling CWS Kits and Cleanup Buckets. Here is a list of open kit collection sites. If there isn’t one near you, please be prepared to ship the kits or consider a donation instead.

3. Pray for everyone affected.
Prayerfully support affected communities and everyone who is taking part in recovery and response.
