URGENT: Earthquake Response in Haiti
On the evening of October 6, a 5.9-magnitude earthquake rocked Port-de-Paix, Haiti, and the surrounding area. More than 7,700 houses in and around were partially or totally damaged when the ground shook. Schools, churches and other buildings were damaged or destroyed.
Our team is preparing to use the experience that we have from years of building structurally-sound houses in Haiti to rebuild and repair houses and other buildings that were damaged in the quake.
Help us build strong homes for families so that they will be better able to weather the future storms that come their way.
If you would prefer to send a check, please write "Haiti Earthquake response" in the memo section and send it to Church World Service, P.O. Box 968, Elkhart, IN 46515.
