Ecumenical Advocacy Days Needs Your Help

A debris disposal location in Chiba

Please note: Church World Service is EAD’s fiscal sponsor

Were you planning to attend EAD? Did you book a hotel room at the Doubletree? Were you planning to travel to DC to lift your voice with other people of faith? Will you help us keep going now?

Cancelling the 2020 conference means we need your help to cover our fixed expenses and keep EAD’s ongoing movement strong. We already have some pledges and contributions towards these costs, but not enough. Will you help us raise the additional $50,000 needed for EAD obligated expenses to ensure that we can pay our bills and continue gathering as an ecumenical movement for peace with justice? Would you be willing to donate your refunded registration fee (full refunds are in process) or the cost of a night in the hotel?

What could you give?

$235 - your registration fee, or a portion of it
$137 - a night in the hotel
$45 - grabbing dinner out in Crystal City

We are working on ways to offer some of our planned content for #EAD2020 online, starting to plan for our next Gathering, and hoping to foster online community. Stay connected in the following ways—

  • stay tuned for possible online #EAD2020 events
  • save the date for next year, April 18-21, 2021
  • don’t miss the next piece of news about ongoing EAD advocacy; sign up to receive our emails
  • like us on Facebook to make sure you get all the updates

As we implement “physical distancing" measures, let us not fall into social isolation or apathy. Our community is strong and the movement continues.
