CWS Offers Webinar July 15 on ‘American Red Cross Disaster Cycle Services’

July 2, 2014

“American Red Cross Disaster Cycle Services: A Brief Look at Your American Red Cross” – scheduled from 2 to 3 p.m. Eastern time – will provide an overview of the program and its commitment to be not only a provider of direct services but also a facilitative leader across the entire disaster cycle – Prepare, Respond, Recover – in a way that is predictable and repeatable and applied consistently nationwide.  The organization’s goal is to align with government and work to enable the entire community to participate in all phases of the disaster cycle.

Presenting the webinar will be Jono A. Anzalone, who has served the American Red Cross in various capacities since 1994 – currently as North Central Division Disaster Executive, American Red Cross, based out of Omaha, Neb., with oversight of Disaster Cycle Services in ID, MT, ND, SD, MN, WI, IL, IA, NE, KS, and MO.  In that capacity, he leads the team responsible for ensuring that disaster services are delivered across the division in a rapid and accessible manner, meeting the urgent needs of clients.  Before taking on his current responsibilities, he was the FEMA Region VII Voluntary Agency Liaison.  He is “a huge fan” of Church World Service’s work.
