Please keep our neighbors in Haiti in your thoughts and prayers. We are grateful to report that CWS staff in Haiti are safe, but our programs and the communities that we work with have been greatly impacted by the ongoing protests and increased insecurity. Due to the road blockades and lack of transportation around the country, our staff are unable to travel for work, our programs are being delayed and the families in remote communities where we work remain vulnerable with limited access to food and basic supplies.
These protests are a powerful reminder of the urgent need for governments to address the root causes of poverty, inequality, injustice and vulnerability. CWS hopes for a peaceful resolution.
