Cuban and Haitian immigrants

Each year thousands of Cubans and Haitians enter the United States fleeing hardship and repression in their home countries. CWS helps to administer the U.S. Department of Homeland Security funded Cuban and Haitian Entrant Program, assisting over 8,000 immigrants in the previous year in Florida alone.

The program provides orderly and structured reception, including resettlement services, to qualified Cubans and Haitians. While based in South Florida, the program also provides services in Louisville, Ky., Portland, Ore., Lancaster, Pa., Houston, Texas, Syracuse, N.Y, and Jersey City, N.J.
